Q: What areas do you cover?

A: We are based in Solihull in the West Midlands and cover a 25 mile radius, however we will travel further if required to do so, depending on the job and distance it is away from our base at 120 Marcot road.

Q: Is it worth recovering my sofa or should I buy new?

A: If your furniture is well made and you like it, reupholstering is for you! The foam cushions may need to be replaced and you may need new springs or other small parts. We guarantee that your furniture will look and feel like new after we reupholster it! However be aware the quality of furniture on the market today just isn't the same as it was 30, 20, or even 10 years ago which is most suitable for being reupholstered.You will be given an honest appraisal on a home visit.

Q: Do you charge for estimates?

A: Not in general however if the quote is for insurance and assessment purposes a charge is made. 

Q: Can you replace the Foam in my cushions on my sofa.

A: Replacing the foam in your cushions on your sofa just got a whole lot easier and quicker if you live within 25 mile radius of Solihull. To use our Cushion Express Foam Replacement Service.
  1. Measure your cushion (s) by measuring the width, height and depth of the cushion. In inches or centre metres we only need a rough guide.
  2. Email us at giving us the details of the measurements and quantities of cushions, your address details and you telephone number. Alternatively call us on 0121 743 5116 with the details.
  3. A verbal quote will be given on the phone and if approved a date agreed for collection.

Q: Can I see a range of fabrics?

A: When we visit your home we bring our range of fabric and leather samples with us. We listen to what you are trying to achieve, look at your chair or sofa and give you advice and a price for doing the job. We don’t employ salespeople so you’ll never be pressured into ordering something you might later regret.

Q: If I already own my own fabric, can you still reupholster my furniture?

A: Absolutely! As long as it is fit for the purpose as we wont compromise on quality. Our consultant will advise you on your home visit. 

Q: Are all fabrics recommended for reupholstering?

A: No! Not all fabrics are recommended for sofa or chair re upholstery. When selecting your fabrics or supplying your own fabric for reupholstering, some fabrics with deep piles will show where they have been sat on unless smoothed over afterwards. Deep pile fabrics which are subject to fabric crush are not recommended to reupholster items which have reversible cushions placed on webbing, as the webs will leave an impression on the fabric.

Q: Do all your fabrics have fire protection?

A: Yes, all fabrics and foams we use have passed the UK Government flame retardant regulations.

Q: Why should I use Sofafix?

Q: Is there a guarantee?

A: Yes all work carried out by Sofafix is guaranteed for 3 years.

Q: What are my payment options?

A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Cash.

Q: How long will it take to complete my order?

A: We average a two week turnaround time from the date of collection. Obviously we try to complete your order as quickly as possible, but we will not compromise our quality and care. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your 'new' furniture!

Q: If I have new cushions on my sofa will it feel the same as my current set?

A:No, as your current set will have become compressed over the years, when we reupholster a chair or sofa, the new cushions will generally feel firmer than the old set but should feel like a new sofa.
